"COMPOTE" started as the apple sauce filling inside French baker ---Johann's favorite viennoiserie "Le chausson aux pommes" (apple turnover). One day, after trying a different apple sauce recipe, he accidently recreated the exact recipe of his old favorite treat.

Wanting to bring back a cherished taste from childhood, he decided to share this healthy recipe "d'antan".  

"Growing up in Paris, apple sauce was a stapple snack, a healthy snack that will help you reach the target of consuming 5 fruits & vegetables per day. A highly recommended standard in European diet" recalls Johann." "A very special piece of French culture that I'd love to bring to Chattanooga".  

With this idea in his mind's eye, "COMPOTE" was born.
